Special Projects
Meeting international portable track standards proved to be a non-issue for Olympic in completing Peter Junek’s board racetrack design. Innovative details, no less than 1,144 sheets of plywood and over 150,000 board feet of material were used to create this uniquely sculptured engineering marvel.
This transfer station was built specially to load and unload potash and other fertilizers from and to railcar and semi-trailers. Both buildings are wood frame construction with metal cladding. The building over the rail line measures 24’x72’x24’ and the truck terminal measures 24’x72’x16’ with a middle section that has a ceiling height of 29’ to cover auger legs.
